If you are having a new baby then odds are the subject of a stroller has come to mind. There are people that swear by wearable slings and all manner of ways of attaching your child to yourself, but if you need both hands for something this most likely will not work. Neither my wife or I have ever been able to make them work. Some people can, I can't.
Family Planning
If you think a head a little a bit and consider how many children you are going to have, then it might be worth ahead and doing some planing. How many years do you intend to wait before having your next child? Are you going to keep your kids close together, or space them out a little bit to preserve some sanity. My wife and I made the conscious decision to keep out children close in age. When they were very young, I was asking myself why, but as they age a little bit and begin to play together, I'm glad I did it. But this planning led us to a series of decisions about our strollers.
Consider A Double
If you are planning to have more than one child and are planning to keep them within a couple of years, then you might want to consider a couple of different stroller options. First off, I can't tell you how many forum posts I have read where people ask about selling a virtually new single stroller to go buy a new double stroller. It's as though their second child was a complete and utter shock. Most of use, for some reason, simply fail to plan a good portion of our lives!
Having said that, consider buying a double stroller, even if you currently only have one child. If you are fairly certain you are going to have another within a couple of years, then make the investment once, now, and you will be proofing yourself for future decisions.
You Won't Be Sorry
You won't be sorry that you did that. Double Baby strollers are actually a very good investment. First of all, they hold their value very well. This means when you go to sell it later, you will have an easier time and get more money.
A Mule
Double Baby Strollers are also great for carrying extra stuff when you are shopping or even out on a day long trip. You put your bags in there, extra stuff for baby and just junk in general, they are very handy.
If you are planning more than one child, then consider buying a double stroller up front and save yourself the hassle later. You will be glad you did.
